Langdon Hills
Essex’s Newest Club
Yes that’s right folks, there is a Amateur Radio club in
Langdon Hills Born out of field events people said why are
you not a club, so here they are. As the summer is fast
approaching there will I’m sure be many field days on the
horizon.
They hold regular club nights on the Second Friday in each
month as well as a Progression Evening on the Fourth
Friday in the month
Progression Evenings
Progression Evenings are a great evening with the Langdon
Hills team. They have a few tables with Amateurs
performing Demo’s, Radio Programming, Langdon Hill’s very
own Radio Station.
The evening is usually attended by Jim and Glynis with their
Badge Production and Pen collection, Need a adge? They’re
your people. Also in regular attendance is Pete M0PSX and
the Essex Ham table, Need Foundation Licencing? Then
Pete’s your man.
On Location at the club
They really have come up trumps with the hall to say the
least, this hall belongs to The Women’s Institute, it’s clean
inside with plenty of tables and chairs and Tea and Coffee
(Cheers Rob)
The owners of this hall have allowed the permenant
erection of antennas for club nights, that really can’t be bad
can it? Do try to get along there sometime soon, they’re
great hosts and are very informative (no matter what
licence you hold (or dont hold even))
